Grohmann Engineering, which was founded in 1983, has formed part of the Tesla Group and operated as Tesla Automation since 2016. We maintain a long-standing tradition of providing training in a diverse range of professions. As one of the largest companies offering professional training in the Bitburg-Prüm region, in our Bavarian subsidiary in Neutraubling and in our location in Neuwied, we highly value providing practical training. Our apprenticeship programs typically start on August 1 or September 1, depending on the cooperating school.

Dual-track University-level studies at Tesla Automation

Alongside the conventional type of vocational training, we also offer dual-track university-level programmes. If you opt to follow this type of programme, you will spend alternating periods of time in the city in which you are studying and at our company headquarters in Prüm, Eifel. At the end of the study programme, you will be awarded the degree of Bachelor of Engineering in your selected specialist field. Dual-track university-level programmes begin between August 1 and October 1, depending on the partner institution.

Requirements

The minimum requirement for our technical training professions is an Intermediate School-Leaving Certificate (“Mittlere Reife”), in addition to good grades in Mathematics, Physics, German and English. Spatial awareness, manual dexterity and an interest in technology are also just as important as a capacity for precision, reliability and the ability to work in a team.

Candidates wishing to be appointed to the apprenticeship of industrial clerk must have obtained the Advanced School-Leaving Certificate (“Abitur”) or the Advanced Vocational School-Leaving Certificate (“Fachabitur”), and should have obtained good grades in Mathematics, German and English. Successful candidates are also expected to be reliable, possess good communication skills and the ability to work independently. Lastly, they should have a knowledge of MS Office applications and must offer a combination of well-developed organizational skills as well as creativity.

Applicants for the dual-track university-level programmes must possess the Advanced School-Leaving Certificate and must have obtained good grades in Mathematics, Physics, German and English. Additional requirements include manual dexterity, an interest in technology and methodological skills. Reliability, communication skills and basic spatial awareness are also highly desirable.

Who will receive your personal data? (Article 13 (1) (e, f) GDPR)

We treat your personal data confidentially and do not pass it on to third parties unless you have given your consent for us to do so or we are under a legal or contractual obligation to do so.
