Training at Tesla Grohmann Automation

Grohmann Engineering, which was founded in 1983, has formed part of the Tesla Group since 2016 and has maintained a long-standing tradition of providing training in a highly diverse range of professions. We are one of the largest companies providing professional training in the Bitburg-Prüm region as well as in our Bavarian subsidiary in Neutraubling and place a great deal of importance on providing practical training. The training will begin on 1 August (Prüm) or 1 September (Neutraubling).

Dual-track University-level studies at Tesla Grohmann Automation

Alongside the conventional type of vocational training, we also offer dual-track university-level programmes. If you opt to follow this type of programme, you will spend alternating periods of time in the city in which you are studying and at our company headquarters in Prüm, Eifel or in Neutraubling, Bavaria. At the end of the study programme, you will be awarded the degree of Bachelor of Engineering in your selected specialist field. Dual-track university-level programmes will commence between 1 August and 1 October, depending on the partner institution.

Technical Product Designer

You will be required to modify 3D datasets and component and module documentation, in close collaboration with our engineers. Amongst other things, you will learn how to take manufacturing processes and material properties into account and how to use state-of-the-art CAD programs.

Industrial Mechanics learn how to maintain, repair and operate machines and production facilities. You will test device components and systems to check that they are functioning correctly and will build modules and device components. You will also monitor and optimize production processes.

Dual-track University-level Studies

Dual-track University-level Programme in Automation Engineering

In collaboration with a university of applied sciences, we are now offering a dual-track university-level programme in Automation Engineering – also known as Automation. This dual-track programme will lead to the award of the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (B. Eng.). During this programme, you will acquire a robust and fundamental knowledge of hardware and software and business management, which will enable you to take responsibility for the programming that is used to control complex machinery, for example.

Dual-track University-level Programme in Mechanical Engineering

In collaboration with a university of applied sciences, we are now offering a dual-track university-level programme in Mechanical Engineering. This dual-track programme will lead to the award of the degree of Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.). During the course of your studies and during the practical stages of your programme, you will learn, amongst other things, how to plan, develop, construct and operate complex technical machinery and components.

Requirements

The minimum requirement for our technical training professions is an Intermediate School-Leaving Certificate (“Mittlere Reife”), in addition to good grades in Mathematics, Physics, German and English. Spatial awareness, manual dexterity and an interest in technology are also just as important as a capacity for precision, reliability and the ability to work in a team.

Candidates wishing to be appointed to the apprenticeship of industrial clerk must have obtained the Advanced School-Leaving Certificate (“Abitur”) or the Advanced Vocational School-Leaving Certificate (“Fachabitur”), and should have obtained good grades in Mathematics, German and English. Successful candidates are also expected to be reliable, possess good communication skills and the ability to work independently. Lastly, they should have a knowledge of MS Office applications and must offer a combination of well-developed organizational skills as well as creativity.

Applicants for the dual-track university-level programmes must possess the Advanced School-Leaving Certificate and must have obtained good grades in Mathematics, Physics, German and English. Additional requirements include manual dexterity, an interest in technology and methodological skills. Reliability, communication skills and basic spatial awareness are also highly desirable.
